Topic: THE 16TH ANNUAL SHARE AN
EXERCISE MEETING
(Fun and Useful Exercises to Regale Your Clients With)
Speakers: Susan
Lauzac and Tom Washington
Location: Master Builders Association,
Bellevue, WA
Each June PSCDA members share an exercise that their clients
find highly useful. Susan Lauzac and Tom Washington will
share their twists on effective ways to use accomplishments.
- Finding Themes In
Accomplishments...
Susan Lauzac will
share insights she has gained while analyzing the accomplishments
and
skills of her clients. We all know
about skills identification in accomplishments, and many
of us use accomplishments with our clients, but there
are some really neat things to do with accomplishments
beyond
the obvious. Susan will show us how she helps her clients
identify themes in their accomplishments and how it helps
them gain real insights. A demonstration with a “client” from
the audience will show us how we can incorporate the
concept in our own practices.
- Showing Interviewing Groups
The Importance and Value of Stories...
Tom Washington has been using accomplishments with his clients
since 1977 based on the work of Haldane, Crystal, and Bolles.
He will share with you insights he’s gained while teaching
clients to sell themselves in interviews using accomplishments.
These techniques can be used with individuals and groups.
He will demonstrate a great way to use accomplishments with
groups that will motivate them to use those stories in their
interviews. People really get that stories convince employers
that they have the skills and qualities that will be critical
to their success on the job. Tom will use you all as the
group to demonstrate how it works.
Meetings are open to the public--free to
Members, $10 to nonmembers.
