Helpful Information Using O*NET and Other Labor Market Resources

and NAICS and add to these the
website Workforce Explorer. There's a new language coming
to the fore, and
a new stream of labor market resources available for workforce
professionals.
Jane Field, labor market analyst and nationally recognized
writer on labor
market information will answer your questions; explain this
language, these
tools and how they compliment each other at the January meeting.
Jane has been the LMI Trainer with Labor Market and Economic
Analysis,
Employment Security for the past decade. She has received
a number of
national awards from such groups as the National Association
of State
Workforce Agencies (NASWA) and the International Association
of Workforce
Professionals (IAWP) for publications such as the Handbook
for the Sidewalk
Economist, Jobs for the Sidewalk Economist, and Entry Points.
She has been
featured on the U.S. DOL O*Net Knowledge website.
Jane holds two undergraduate degrees: one in Speech from
the University of
Washington, and another in Political Economy from The Evergreen
State
College, and a Masters degree in Education from California
State University
at Los Angeles.
This meeting will be followed by an interactive
discussion about this topic in the workplace.
