Topic: PSCDA after 20 Years - Exploring
New Directions
Discussion Groups: PSCDA's Founders,

Location: Community Center,

Join us Thursday, January 4th for our first
meeting of 2007 when PSCDA Founders, Members, and
Presidents (past, present, and future) will address
the reinvention (or should we call it "re-intention"?)
of PSCDA. Together we will be discussing
Career Development opportunities and challenges
for the future.
One of the points of discussion
will be around our shared vision regarding
what it means to be a Career Development Professional: is
this
designation restricted to "counselors" or
should it encompass a wider array of competencies
(resume writers, coaches, etc.)?
Also, we will be reviewing together PSCDA's
current Mission Statement (www.pscda.org/mission.htm) and
adding various updates.
This promises to be a very interactive
meeting, and as you participate with other members, you will
be encouraged
to think about what PSCDA has done for you and your vision
for its future. Come join us, and contribute your questions
and perspectives about the future of PSCDA!
We thank PSCDA's President-Elect,
Roger Howson, for arranging the January meeting.
Meetings are open to the
public--free to Members, $10 to nonmembers.
Questions about membership
can be directed to our Membership Chair: <pugetsoundcareer@gmail.com>
