This year PSCDA's popular Recruiter Panel takes a different focus, as it addresses how Career Development Specialists can best establish and build relationships with recruiting professionals to advance their work with job seeking clients. Our distinguished panel of recruiters is highlighted below.

MEET THE RECRUITERS:

Kristin Efting, Executive Search Recruiter with Volt, has over three years of account management, sales, and recruiting experience. She places candidates in Sales, Management, HR, and Executive Assistant positions. Volt's downtown Seattle office is honored to represent hundreds of customers; including, Starbucks, Nordstrom, Sound Transit, and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Volt has over 56 years of six-sigma knowledge and innovation, which has helped them to reach the achievement of being ranked in Fortune's 1000 Most Admired Company lists.

Lisa Muller, PHR, is a recruiting professional with over seven years in legal, college/intern and agency recruiting. Lisa spent over two years with the King County Dislocated Worker program developing and delivering search strategy workshops and counseling services. Currently with Apariant, a boutique recruiting firm specializing in accounting & finance, Lisa provides full-cycle recruiting services for clients such as Wamu, Expedia, CB Richard Ellis, Alaska Airlines, and other local organizations.

Courtney O’brien-McFarland is a Direct Hire Recruiter at Parker Staffing Services specializing in placement of administrative professionals in a variety of different industries. Parker is a premier staffing firm well known for establishing long term partnerships with clients such as Nintendo, Vulcan, Wizards of the Coast, On-Line Shoes, and WDS Global just to name a few. Connecting top talent with top companies is the focus of Courtney’s role at Parker Staffing, particularly at the administrative level including Executive and HR assistants. Prior to Parker Staffing Courtney enjoyed a ten year career with Nordstrom. She worked full-time while also attending the University of Washington. After graduating she was promoted to Department Manager and worked at numerous departments/locations taking on more and more responsibility with each promotion. Highlights include “Customer Service All-Star” and “Department Manager of the Month”.

This meeting will be followed by an interactive discussion regarding the concepts presented by the panelists.
